Saturday Events

After Friday evening's temple night/reception, the second day of our May Day Weekend Conference, Saturday, May 1, 2010, will be held at the Visalia Stake Center, located at 650 N. Lovers Lane, Visalia, CA 93292. Activities will begin at 8:00am with registration and full breakfast. The general meeting begins at 9:00 am with our keynote speaker, President & Sister Parmley. There will be a snack break at 10:20 , followed by three Seminars. After the seminars, we will reconvene in the chapel for speaker, President John Gonzalez. We will then depart to Mooney Grove Park after the meeting and have lunch at 12:30 at Arbor #3. We will doing a Mormon Helping Hands project at the museum at Mooney Grove Park. At 3:30pm, we will depart from the park and return to the Stake Center. A General Meeting at 4:00 pm with President Lynn Dredge will be followed by the premiere performance of “The Tree of Life” production, followed by dinner. Immediately after dinner, the comedian Ed Tracy from Jay Leno “Tonight Show” will provide entertainment. We will then have a dance from 7:30pm to 11:00pm with the Dancing DJ's (click here to see their web page) providing the music.

FYI: Dress Expectations/Showers and Changing Rooms

For those who are concerned about what to wear for the various types of events: the standard for the Saturday morning meetings will be dressy-casual/dressy as we will be in the chapel. For Mooney Grove Park it is casual.

(For the convenience of out-of-town guests, We are setting up changing rooms in the Stake Center classrooms. And the showers will be available in the Stake Center Baptismal area as well.)

Saturday evening, back at the chapel, it will once again be dressy-casual/dressy. Obviously the spirit of the Sunday testimony meeting will be best served with appropriate Sunday attire.
